A Baby Shower at Brio Tuscan Grille

When my sister was expecting her first baby, my mom and I set out to have a baby shower for her. My sister is a chef and while my mom and I know our way around the kitchen, we were more inclined to host the shower at a restaurant and really make it a special treat for her.

Brio Tuscan Grille was the perfect place. The food was very good and their private room was just what we were looking for. They were very accommodating.

My goal with hosting the shower at a restaurant was to surprise my sister and the guests by creating an environment that did not feel like we were was at a restaurant. When my sister remarked that she “did not expect something so beautiful,” I knew my plan had succeeded!

To achieve that beauty, I brought in a lot to the space.

Guests were welcomed with flowers, candlelight, and a children’s book to write a special message for the baby.

I created a cake display that was the focal point. Pastry Chef Kelly Bellmore made the impressive individual cakes with gold flecks.

I styled each table with unique centerpieces with rentals from Greenhouse Picker Sisters.

OE Calligraphy wrote out each guests name beautifully on gold Rifle Paper Co. place cards (my sister’s favorite so it was fun to incorporate them into the design).

As an added surprise, at the back of the space we had a display (from Greenhouse Picker Sisters) for the macaron favors for each guest. Kelly Bellmore also made the macarons.

The favor tags matched the invitations from Minted and inspired the color palette. I love Minted! Their products are high quality and these ones even shimmered.

I am thankful Nicole Hanner of Hanner Studios photographed the day. It is wonderful to have those special moments captured.

It was such a memorable event. I am so pleased with how we were able to elevate the experience for everyone.

Warmly,
