Art Gallery Engagement Party

It was such a joy for me to help my client, Leah, throw an engagement party for her daughter. We chose FRANK Gallery because it was a cool and non-traditional location for a special party. Art has been a huge part of this family’s story so not only did it fit the vibe we were after, but it was also really meaningful, too. Isn’t that the best?

We wanted a statement welcome sign to draw guests in. And since it was at an art gallery, I asked Danielle Joseph of Mason Dixon Designs to be creative on canvas. My client and the bride were so thrilled with the final product it is now a part of their home. Well done, Danielle!

With art on the walls and on pedestals throughout, some carefully placed flower arrangements complimented the space. Jenn Wood with Wild Flora Farm was the perfect farmer-florist for the job. Based in Chapel Hill, many of the flowers were sourced from Wild Flora Farm and other local flower farms. Everyone loved what she created!

The flower arrangements on the cocktail tables looked so great with the nice white linens from CE Rental. Using quality linens is always worth it in my opinion. I overhead guests commenting on them. They made such a subtle statement, too.

For the favors, we quickly decided that sugar cookies with the couple’s wedding logo was the best choice. Southern Sugar Bakery amazed us with a perfect replica of the logo. And they were a hit my client, the couple, and the guests!

We added another personalized touch with custom cups and napkins. The bride was so pleased with these that she ordered some for the wedding, too. CE Rental had the perfect modern glasses for the signature drink. My client chose a drink she and her daughter enjoyed on a trip to Italy. Not only was it another meaningful detail, it was the popular choice for the guests, too!

For a “wow” element and one that would further enhance the vibe we were creating, we had Wonder Puff serving cotton candy. It was unexpected, nostalgic, and the art gallery smelled wonderful. No surprise here, but my favorite flavor was lavender.

As with any event, there is so much more that could be shared. So many wonderful details that come together to create a memorable event. I hope you enjoyed this little taste of a lovely evening for a lovely couple.

Warmly,

Leah’s kind words mean so much to me…

Hiring Elisa was the best money I could have spent on my daughter’s engagement party.  I wanted to create a very special memory for her and my soon-to-be son in law, and for them to feel loved and celebrated. The event was a huge success and when Elisa and I did a recap a few days later I said to her, “You killed it.”  My daughter and fiancé were awestruck by the beauty and thoughtfulness.  I had never hired a planner before and I was so relieved to hand the details over to Elisa.  Elisa was very enthusiastic and almost as excited about the party as I was. It was fairly short notice and Elisa dug right in and guided me through the process. She had wonderful ideas and resources. For instance, the florist she suggested was extraordinary and the flowers were perfectly suited for the venue.  In addition, she has a bakery connection who made individually wrapped cookies with the couples wedding logo. These served as unique party favors, which were a huge hit.  Elisa was very conscious of my budget and kept a running spreadsheet with the estimated costs so I knew what to expect. I would hire Elisa again for other events I might do, including business entertaining.  It was a great success! Thank you, Elisa.
