Why wait for a milestone birthday to celebrate in a big way? That was the question Bethany asked as our friend Nannette’s birthday approached. I could not have agreed with her more! Why wait?
It was so special to design a party for one of my best friends. I wanted her to walk into my home and feel known and deeply loved. Each element of the design was a reflection of her.
Greenhouse Picker Sisters provided the chairs, rug, and cake display I wanted to use to bring my vision to life. And CE Rental had the perfect linen and place settings to represent my friend. I am so thrilled with how it came together.
These flowers from Bowerbird Flowers! I kept saying “wow” when I picked them up. Wow!
Sugar Euphoria blew us all away with the best tasting cake! I still dream about it.
Nannette and I share a love of macarons (and have since made them together!) so we had to have them. Macarons from Lucette Grace in downtown Raleigh are so so good. Their rose one is my favorite.
She has helped me make balloon garlands in the past so I knew I had to have one just for her. I normally put them together myself, but this time I went with a kit from Junibel. I am so glad I did! They ship through Amazon so I got it right away and it was easy to do. I learned some new tricks, too!
When it came to photographing it, Brent with Live View Studios was at the top of my list. His work is amazing and I love the way he captured this special party.
It never ceases to amaze me the magic that happens when a space is carefully curated. It was an unforgettable night. By candlelight, we had meaningful conversation and lots of laughter until 1 in the morning! An extra special birthday present!
